Can my husband re join the army with a general other than honorable discharge?

About a year and a half ago my husband got out of the army before his term was up with a general other than honorable discharge due to many MANY family troubles with his family and i was having pregnacy problems. So they gave him the option to get out, my question is.. can he rejoin? He really wants to join back into the army but if they wont take him do you think national guard will. He regrets everyday getting out of the military and really wants to get back in. thanks for the answers. top rating for best answer!!
