Should Ireland Rejoin the Commonwealth of Nations?

Ireland left the British fold to become its own nation. Britain or the commonwealth does not want Ireland back, Its now part of the EU which is fortunate because its in a huge financial mess brought about stupidity greed and a notion that it was better than it really was in growth terms i'm afraid it got to big for its boots and the financial walls came tumbling down around it peat bog soaked feet .
