Should i rejoin marching band?!?

ok so im gonna be a junior and i just joined marching band last year.! and i really love playing music and I just learned the xylophone last year. That was huge for me because i didn't really have an musical instrument background. but anyways i'm not to sure what to do. My band director is kinda a jerk and i would be the only mallet player next year. Which makes me even more nervous. Plus i would have to take concert band which i really dislike!!!! because our school doesn't give you the option to take one or the other. I'm confused do i join band or not!? someone plz help!! Also apparently their's a mascot position available and if i didn't join band i might be interested in that!! :D
