Why do conservatives & liberals think human life has any value? Why does america lie to itself?

I don't believe in afterlife or God. I believe that we are all powered by energy that gets stronger each time we are reborn because we are here to suffer and learn for that reason. It all balances out in the end but you are correct that humans are no more special than any other animal.
